Campaign to avoid junk in containers

At the same press conference, the mayor and the Councilor for the Environment took the opportunity to present one of the environmental campaigns that are going to be launched during this year.

Under the slogan 'If you would never park your car in the kitchen, why do you park waste that does not belong in the dumpster?'

It is intended that citizens continue to be aware of the use of the Ecopark and the free home collection service.

During the year 2017, a total of 4,428 citizens made use of the Ecoparque, an average of 369 people / month.

It is located in the Cerro del Castillo Industrial Estate and can be used for free urban solid waste such as household items, paint cans, electrical appliances, fluorescent tubes, debris from minor works or home repairs, etc.

It also has the service of door-to-door collection of household items, bulky waste such as furniture, sofas, mattresses, box springs, among others, which due to their large size can not be deposited in the containers.
