Approved five of the six motions presented to the July plenary session (31/07/2018)

Five of the six motions submitted to the July plenary session held last night were approved, four of them unanimously.

It was agreed to design cleanup campaigns appropriate to the city and to install paper mills in the areas and neighborhoods where they barely exist, as well as to keep them clean and tidy.

The motion was presented by the PP and supported unanimously.

On the other hand, a working group will be set up in which technical representatives of the City Council, educational centers, associations of fathers and mothers, as well as the different municipal groups are represented, in order to assess and implement the project 'Jumilla, safe school road'.

The motion was presented by the PP and approved unanimously.

It was unanimous, also, the vote in favor of the motion presented by IU-LV by which the City of Jumilla will urge the Autonomous Community to regulate the distances of location of the betting rooms to avoid proximity to educational centers, cultural centers and youth and children's spaces.

The fourth motion approved unanimously was presented jointly by the three political groups and the non-attached councilor for which Jumilla declares himself free from racism and xenophobia, so that the use of municipal spaces that promote hatred, xenophobia or racism.

It was approved with the positive votes of PSOE, IU-LV and the non-attached councilor and the opposing votes of the PP the motion presented jointly by PSOE, IU-LV and the non-attached councilor which will be urged the European Commission to the withdrawal of the proposal of the pan-European product of individual pensions, the Government of Spain to propose and support the withdrawal of this proposal in the European Council, the different parliamentary groups to reject it when it comes to debate and both the Government and parliamentary groups to study the necessary measures for public pension systems to guarantee decent and sufficient pensions and to promote the elimination of tax breaks.

The motion presented by IU-LV was rejected, in which it was requested that in the corresponding commission there be a fixed point of the agenda with the administrative situation of each motion approved in the previous legislature.

They voted in favor of PP and IU-LV, the attached councilor abstained and opposed the PSOE.

In the plenary session last night, the resolutions of the Mayor's office, of the delegated councilors, of the Strategic Plan of Grants and of the Intervention and Treasury reports on the average period of payment to suppliers and delinquencies of the second quarter of 2018 were also reported. Likewise, the new composition of the permanent hiring desk for assistance to the plenary session was determined.

At the end of the plenary, a representative from the Pensioners Platform of Jumilla intervened, after prior request.
