Jumilla presents its new School Road Safety Campaign in a renovated Safety Park (26/10/2018)

`See, hear and feel 'will reach more than 2,600 children in Early Childhood and Primary Education.

The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola and the provincial head of Traffic, Virginia Jérez, presented this morning a new edition of the School Education Campaign that starts the Department of Public Safety with the participation of all schools in the location.

In the act they have been present, in addition, the councilor of Public Safety, Eugenio Aguado, pedánea of ​​La Estacada, María Belén López, the head of the Local Police, Antonio Luis Mula, as well as several members of the municipal corporation and directors of schools.

With the slogan `See, hear and feel ', this course will reach more than 2,600 children in Early Childhood and Primary Education, almost a thousand more than in 2017. As an image of it, a video clip with a rap composed of the rapper Jumillano, Sergio Guardiola 'War-D', for which he has counted on the collaboration of several companies in the town.

It has been interpreted live in the presentation by the author himself.

The campaign has Pascual David Muñoz as the responsible agent.

The objective of the same is that the little ones learn in a practical and simple way to move safely in the environment that surrounds them, either on foot, by bicycle or by car.

Also, that they know the traffic signals that they see daily in their transfers.

The Road Education Park, where both the theoretical part and the practice of the campaign will take place, is one of the most complete centers in the Region of Murcia and, in addition, has been renovated and improved recently with an investment close to 10,000 euros.

Novelda's natural graffiti artist, Juan Carlos Lozano 'Wayo Wayo', has produced two murals located at the entrance to the center, one with cartoons and the other with the park's coat of arms, as well as the painting of eight signs that are part of the circuit.

The classroom has been repainted and redecorated, making it more attractive and entertaining for the little ones.

Likewise, it has worked in the practice park, whose perimeter has been decorated with wheels, which give greater security.

It has a new recreation area and more attractive areas for future drivers through the work of pruning, landscaping and redecoration that were made in the circuit by the students of the PMEF Jardín Botánico.

In addition, decorative figures have been installed and new benches and resting places have been installed.

Park users can enjoy, in addition to new bicycles, cars, helmets and bike parking.

Both the Mayor of Jumilla and the provincial traffic chief have praised both the campaign and the improvements made in the Road Education Center.

Juana Guardiola thanked his collaboration to "the different councils involved, Local Police and schools for the great work done to achieve this hallucinating aspect of a park that we are in a state of abandonment."

Virginia Jérez has stated that this center "is a great instrument to save lives today and in the future."

Once all improvements have been completed, the Road Safety Park will be open to the general public during all weekends.

This Sunday there will be an open day from 10 to 14 hours.
