Today it has been approved unanimously in full extraordinary that the City of Jumilla manifests its opposition to the project of restoration of the request for granting permission to investigate resources in an area of ​​Santa Ana, which could involve the opening of an extraction quarry of ornamental rock.
Allegations will be presented to the file initiated by the General Directorate of Energy, Industrial Activity and Energy with the objective of preventing authorization from being granted for the study and research to be carried out given the scenic, geological, fauna, ethnographic and well-being interest. Community Interest that presents the Sierra de Santa Ana, as well as the cultural significance of this mountain for Jumillano.
Therefore, the proposal is considered environmentally unfeasible.
