The month of May has left the best figures of unemployment in Jumilla of the last decade, being the number of unemployed of 1,571.
The number of people in search of employment in the municipality has fallen by 259 people compared to the previous month.
This variation has been more marked in female unemployment with a decrease of 153 women compared to the drop in male unemployment of 106 unemployed.
The Councilor for Economy and Employment in office, Juan Gil, has shown his satisfaction and has indicated that he expects "that this trend will be consolidated in the coming months and the figures will continue to improve".
By age, youth unemployment continues to decline, from 9.07% to 7.64%.
The majority group is still older than 45 years old with more than half of all unemployment (52.13%).
By economic sectors, it is still the service sector that brings together the largest number of unemployed, representing more than half of all unemployment (52.01%).
Agriculture follows the unemployment percentage, although this month it is reduced from 18.25% to 14.51%.
