The Councilor for Youth, Lola Gómez, presented this morning the 2019 edition of the Young Art Contest.
The deadline for submission of works is now open, which will close on October 28 at 2:00 p.m.
Four modalities have been established: literature, photography, plastic arts and music.
2,000 euros will be distributed in prizes following the bases approved in 2017, so young people between 14 and 35 years old can participate, divided into two categories (A, from 14 to 21 and B, from 22 to 35 years).
"This is a total of 24 cash prizes, three per category, the first being 140 euros, the second 80 and the third 30 euros, in addition to the corresponding diploma," said the councilor for the area.
The jury, which will be composed of experts in each modality, will fail after a maximum of 50 days after the deadline for submission of works.
The works must be presented at the Department of Youth, in the Plaza del Rey Don Pedro, 9.
From the poster made for this edition, designed by Help Help Me, Lola Gómez stressed that "a youthful and creative air has been sought, so that young people of different modalities are motivated and encouraged to participate in the contest."
