Jumilla will be for the sixth time the official headquarters of the Maroc Challenge.

This year, the city will host the beginning of the winter edition, specifically on November 29 and 30.

This morning the appointment was presented in the press room of the City Council by the mayor, Juana Guardiola, the Councilor for Sports, José Antonio Jiménez, the director of the race, Rui Cabaco, the head of assistance, Julio Tomás, as well as Antonio Tárraga, representing the Montesinos 4x4 Club, organizer of the departure.

The participating cars will arrive in Jumilla during the afternoon of Friday, November 29, which will be when the technical and administrative checks are carried out.

There will be a welcome dinner and already on the morning of Saturday 30, from 9.00 an official departure will be made from the Lorenzo Guardiola Promenade.

Participants will embark towards Morocco from the port of Motril at 3.30 p.m.

The stages will take place from December 1 to 6.

Both the mayor, Juana Guardiola, and the Councilor for Sports, José Antonio Jiménez, have highlighted "the importance for Jumilla that this race chooses us for the sixth time to start its journey."

Rui Cabaco has expressed satisfaction with the "growing media impact of the test, which is increasingly international."

For his part, Julio Tomás said that "more and more technical means are used in order to make the participants more comfortable and safe", while Antonio Tárraga has indicated that "again it is a pride that the race returns to Jumilla ".
