The City of Jumilla, through its mayor, Juana Guardiola, has signed this morning the agreement for the granting of the subsidy provided for in the 2019 Municipal Budget with the Association of Physical Handicapped of Jumilla (AMFIJU), which has been represented by its president, Salvador Simón, in the presence, in addition, of the Councilor for Social Policy, José Luis Monreal, and the secretary of the association, Pepa Bernal.
The association will receive the amount of 20,000 euros with which the City of Jumilla collaborates with the activities it develops in the field of social care for people with disabilities and people with mobility problems in the municipality of Jumilla, specifically in the transport service of people with motor limitations to carry out procedures in the municipality and in the physiotherapy service for people with disabilities.
Likewise, the City Council collaborates with the association through the transfer of the premises where it provides its services.
Attention to 400 users
Salvador Simón explained that "75% of the agreement is dedicated to the transport of people with mobility problems to perform any management they need in the municipality and the remaining 25% for physiotherapy sessions. AMFIJU was founded almost three decades ago and offers services to almost 400 users in Jumilla.
Juana Guardiola has highlighted "Jumilla's luck in having such associations as AMFIJU, with a great team of professionals that offer fundamental services for many people."
