After the increase of the months of July and August, unemployment has fallen again in the month of September, which has closed with 77 fewer people in search of work.
"The current figure is 1,682 unemployed, 294 less than in the same month last year, placing the percentage below 13.5%," as reported by the Councilor for Economy and Employment, Juan Gil.
"This is the best figures of the last decade," he added.
The decline in September has been more pronounced in male unemployment with a decrease of 112 men compared to an increase of 35 women.
By academic levels, the bulk of unemployment continues to focus on the levels of general education (Primary and Secondary).
By economic sectors, it is still the service sector that brings together a greater number of unemployed people, representing more than half of all unemployment.
By age, the majority group is still over 45 years old.
