| The agricultural and agri-food sector have been the recipients of almost all the employment generated | The month of April ended with a decrease in unemployment in Jumilla by 44 people, of which 79.5% are women and basically the agricultural and agri-food sector have been the recipients of almost all the employment generated.

The total number of people in a job search situation is 1,886, 56 more than in the same month last year.

The unemployment percentage with respect to the active population is around 21%. Agriculture has been the sector with the best performance and decreases from 16.48% to 13.89% unemployment, slightly increasing in the rest of the sectors.

The service sector continues to be the one with the highest number of unemployed people, with 53%.

By age, youth unemployment remains at around 10%, specifically 10.29%.

The majority group continues to be the over-45s group with almost half of all unemployment. The Councilor for the Economy and Employment, Juan Gil, has indicated that "given the current situation, these are quite positive figures when compared to other areas of the Region.
