In the plenary session of June 2020, the three political groups present in the City Council have unanimously agreed on the award of the contract for the cleaning of public buildings, it has been done in two lots and each has been awarded to a different company .

In the opinion of IU Verdes, PP, PSOE and Ciudadanos have agreed to deceive the Jumillanos and to deceive the cleaning staff. It is quite significant the coincidence in voting a contract that does not guarantee that the cleaning staff will charge according to the regional agreement because although that basis is used for economic calculations, then it is allowed that there is a decrease in the tenders or offers of the companies winners of between 30 and 32% in each batch. There are municipalities that are not fooled and do not allow such decreases in the offers because if it is taken into account that the benefits of the company are in theory less than 10%, a greater decrease will undoubtedly mean that the agreement will not be fulfilled, worse cleaning products will be used or almost not used. For a sample, it is only necessary to review what happened with the current contract, long overdue, (which is also with one of the companies benefiting from one of the lots of the new contract), in many buildings the total number of hours scheduled has not been met, Housekeeping staff has not been screened in 4-5 years and not even given work clothes more than once on that time.

Nor have they received everything reflected in the regional agreement. It is scary that one of the proposals to be considered in awarding this contract is that they provide flowerpots to show off in public buildings and then there is no review that companies apply the agreements in force. If IU Verdes had been participating in that debate, exhaustive compliance with the agreement would have been guaranteed in the specifications, the company would have been penalized with the termination of the contract and economic penalties for not complying, smaller batches would have been made so that it could a company from the municipality had stayed with one of them and there had been a rigorous monitoring of the working conditions, of the health check-up, of the delivery of work clothes and of the cleaning products used. IU Greens ends regretting that PP and Citizens continue betting on a contract that does not guarantee minimum rights since the winning tenders cannot be executed without breaching the labor agreement and further regretting if possible that the PSOE agrees to continue with privatizations at a low price that they deteriorate the labor market and sharpen inequalities between workers.
