Environment recalls the obligations on possession of potentially dangerous animals (21/10/2016)

From the Department of Environment of the City of Jumilla is special emphasis during this October to remind citizens obligations on the possession of potentially dangerous animals, such as marking the Annual Plan Campaign which was introduced earlier this year under the slogan 'For sustainable Jumilla'.

The owners or holders of potentially dangerous dogs must have them on public roads always watched under its control by a belt or chain of less than two meters long and unstretchable, as well as an approved and suitable for race muzzle, so that prohibit opening the jaw to bite (Article 31 of the Municipal Ordinance).

Under no circumstances may be driven by minors or driving on public parks and gardens, as well as in the vicinity of schools, kindergartens, markets, recreation centers or sports, and generally in areas characterized by an intense movement of people .

Found potentially dangerous dog without a muzzle in public places or not subject chain is considered by the Municipal Ordinance as a serious offense punishable by a fine of 300.52 to 2,404.05 Euros.

The license application submitted by the applicant in the General Register of the City of Jumilla, along with the required documents (certificate of criminal records, certificate of psychological fitness, liability insurance for damage to third parties that may be caused by their animals, and animal health documentation), which can be downloaded from the website of the City.

Having dogs or potentially dangerous animals without a license it is classified by the Municipal and as a very serious offense punishable by fine of between 2404.06 to 15025.3 euros.
