Marín Padilla will offer tomorrow in Murcia a talk on epilepsy (05/06/2017)

The professor of pathological anatomy and pediatrics, Miguel Marín Padilla, tomorrow in Murcia will offer a talk called 'Evolutionary neuropathology of perinatal brain damage in the pathogenesis of epilepsy'.

It will be at 19.30 in the auditorium of the Royal Academy of Medicine and Surgery of the Region of Murcia.

Today he met with the mayor of Jumilla and the first deputy mayor, Alfonso Pulido, accompanied by the also professor of pathological anatomy, Guzmán Ortuño, to whom he has advanced details of his new work that presents tomorrow in the capital.

Likewise, Marín Padilla, has indicated that he is already beginning with the cataloging of his entire archive, which he intends to donate to the City of Jumilla, as announced on his previous visit to Jumilla last year.

These are 4,500 Golgi preparations of the human brain or the microscope that has used throughout his life, among other things, a broad scientific legacy.

The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, has shown her appreciation for this new visit and congratulated her for her new work.

"It is a pride for Jumilla to have such illustrious people," he said.

Regarding the announced donation, he said that "it would be very interesting to convert Jumilla into a center of reference in the study of the human brain."
