The local government highlights the consolidation of several projects in the second year of the legislature. From its second year at the head of the City Council of Jumilla highlights the consolidation of several of the bets started in the first and (15/06/2017)

During the last year several municipal buildings have been rehabilitated and some of them are in bad condition.

The investment in improving the garbage collection system of the municipality has once again become a reality in the second year of the legislature with the acquisition of two new trucks, one of them lavacontenedores, as well as the beginning of the process for the purchase of two new Sweepers.

Four new vehicles that involve an expenditure of more than 400,000 euros, to which must be added the repair and set-up of the entire fleet of municipal vehicles Services.

Likewise, new containers have been placed, among them buried, and new selective collection points that have improved the recycling figures with which the municipality counted, supported by different campaigns, as well as the activities for the Environment Day.

During this second year, different maintenance works have been carried out in schools, increasing the amount destined again, which adds 33,000 euros for the burial of the power line of the future Príncipe Felipe school.

Also, this second year of the current Government has meant for the Jumillanos a new lowering of taxes and fees, reaching a drop in the urban IBI receipt of up to 10.9% in the two years of the legislature, which will be effective in The receipts of 2018. Clear bet on employment

In the last year, 16 job exchanges have been launched, of which eight were missing, and eight are already allowing access to public posts whenever there are vacancies.

Jumilla is host to the 100x100 Activation Program, a service that seeks to increase through the mediation of a personal trainer or coach the chances of insertion of jobseekers.

In fact, almost half of the 25 participants have already been hired by different companies when the program has not yet been completed.

Jumilla, more accessible than ever

In Social Services, for the second year has been bet by the creation of social work with a line of 100,000 euros that is giving work to more than a dozen long-term unemployed.

Making an accessible jumilla is another of the basic pillars of the legislature.

In 2016, 54,500 euros were invested in the second phase of the plan, to which are added the 85,000 euros that are being invested this year in reduced forks, accessibility to municipal buildings, public toilets, gardens and cranes for swimming pools.

Likewise, the groups with social purposes have subsidies worth 115,000 euros, three times three years ago, 55,000 euros in nominative form and 60,000 by competitive competition, whose process is open.

Support for the basis of the local economy, which is agriculture, has again been decided.

The Agricultural Fair hosted more than 30 exhibitors of the main firms and brands in agricultural machinery, implements and companies related to the sector.

It has been invested in the settlement of rural roads, as well as in its cataloging, which will allow the application of subsidies.

Historical demands such as the rehabilitation of the La Raja road are being met.

In Festejos, different agreements have been improved with the groups, with exceptional support to the XXX National Meeting of Brotherhoods to be held next September.

In Culture, renowned performances have returned to be protagonists in the schedules of each quarter (Revolver, La Guardia, The Secrets, Concha Velasco ...), as well as the approach of the same to the neighborhoods.

Groups, groups and local artists have once again had a preferential space in museums and Casa del Artesano.

Exhibitions, lectures, conferences, international days have been renewed, as well as the Night of Museums, with many activities of great acceptance and participation.

Support for clubs and improvements in sports facilities

In Sports, the 2017 budget again includes more than 100,000 euros in subsidies to sports clubs, covering more than the previous year.

Improvements continue in the facilities.

The Municipal Sports Center La Hoya has released public lighting and has renovated the Antonio Ibáñez football field.

It has also improved the range of natural grass field, as well as changing rooms and benches.

The new material purchased for the athletics track allowed for the first time Jumilla to host a regional championship of combined tests.

The Indoor Pool has been strengthened with the celebration of different activities, being a few weeks ago the Regional Waterpolo Absolute Cup.

A comprehensive action plan is underway to remodel the sports facilities such as the Carlos Garcia Pavilion, the Hoya Sports Center, the Bernardo González Velodrome or the indoor track Miguel Hernández.

Likewise, work is being done to recover the San Francisco covered track.

Jumilla has continued to count in the second year of this legislature with activities of excellent level through City Science, as well as the language club, courses, workshops and talks aimed at young people.

Arte Joven has once again rewarded the creations in photography, fine arts, literature and music, and a new impetus is foreseen in the 2017 edition already called.

The Department of Public Health organized the Second Week of Health Jumilla with greater participation and activities than in the first edition, again having primary care as the protagonist.

This year there were first-rate figures such as Master Chef's ex-contestant, Mireia Ruiz, with her workshop 'Cooking smiles healthy', a masterclass of zumba with Jordi Giralde or ballet-fitness with Vicente Ochoa.

In Volunteering, the Time Bank has been launched, with more than 200 users in its first months and dozens of workshops.

In Traffic, have invested 20,000 euros for the regulation of steps located in places that did not have traffic lights for pedestrians.

More than 200,000 euros in districts

The valorization of the districts and the improvement of their surroundings has returned to be a basic pillar of the local Government in its second year to the front of the City council.

In the last two months more than 200,000 euros have been invested in different improvements in social premises, renovation of the Plaza de Los Cipreses of La Estacada or the rehabilitation of the source of Sopalmo in Las Encebras.

In Tourism, Jumilla has re-committed to promoting its Wine Route, new tourist brochures have been developed and different participations have been promoted in fairs and new guided visits to the city.

In short, a second year of the legislature where the participation of Jumillans has been fundamental.

The implementation of a Participatory Budgets process is one of the examples.

The citizens decided the fate of 100,000 euros of the Budget 2017 and contributed with their suggestions what are the future needs of Jumilla and districts, several of them already effective.
