Equality presents activities on the occasion of the International Day of Pride LGTBI (21/06/2017)

The Department of Equality has made public the events organized on the occasion of the Day of the LGTBI (lesbian, gay, transsexual, bisexual and intersex), which takes place on Wednesday, June 28.

The motto chosen for this year has been 'Love does not hurt, rejection by sexual orientation, yes'.

As a sensitization activity, some plaques have been made with the colors of gay pride and the phrase 'Love is love'.

They will be distributed along with information leaflets elviernes 23 from 22.00 hours for areas where young people move, pubs, bars, etc.

In addition, the facade of the Roque Baños Cultural Center will be illuminated with the colors of gay pride, as it is one of the most important places for young people. A commemorative mural will also be painted on Avenida de la Libertad.

The Councilor for Equality, Salvi Pérez, said that "these activities aim to make visible and normalize the LGTBI group and continue striving for full integration."
