The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, and the general director of Agrarian Funds and Rural Development, Carmen María Sandoval, visited this morning the section of the Colonization track, whose refurbishment works have already been completed through the Rural Development Program of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The arrangement has been executed on a section of 3,976 meters in length, next to the N-344, whose cost has been 142,377.81 euros.
It corresponds to one of the roads whose preparation was approved in the call for aid of 2016. In the announcement of this year it was agreed to repair the roads of La Raja, La Zarza, Yecla-Gamellón and the two remaining sections of the runway. Colonization, whose works will be carried out in 2018 with a total of 29 kilometers.
For its part, the City Council has undertaken, among others, the arrangement of a section of the road of La Raja and plans to begin work soon on the roads of Alicante and Roman, with an investment of close to 200,000 euros.
The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, has described the works of this section of the road as "good news, as it was a track that was in very bad condition."
He also added that: "The machinery currently available to the City of Jumilla for road conditioning needs renovation, since it is working continuously for twelve months, so any help from the regional administration would be good."
