Equality promotes the celebration of a computer applications course (17/05/2013)

The Department of Equality promotes a computer applications course will develop the month of June at the Roque Baños Sociocultural Building.

The course, organized by FADEMUR, Federation of Rural Women, and funded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, is aimed at women who are unemployed.

Some of the content of the course, which lasts for 20 hours, are general knowledge of computers and computer management, basics of Word documents, Internet access to find information and email management.

The course will run on 3, 5, 7, 10 and June 11 in time from 9.00 to 13.00 hours in the Roque Baños Sociocultural Building.

As places are limited you must register in the Department of Equality, Monday to Wednesday from 9.00 to 13.00 hours.

Alicia Abellán, Councillor for Equality, has reported that there are already several similar themed courses taught, and which still exist they demand and hence the need for the meeting.

FADEMUR also thanked the willingness to collaborate with the City of Jumilla in the development of this and other activities.

Abellán has highlighted the importance of this type of training, because there are many people who do not have the basic tools to access the information contained in the web, and reducing these gaps will get to go closer to the entire population to available resources.
