The Mayor visits cooperatives student who is participating in the HUB programs and EME Region (15/05/2014)

The mayor of Jumilla, Enrique Jimenez, and the Councillor for Economy and Employment, Almudena Martinez, visited yesterday the CEIP Prince Philip, one of two schools in the town who are participating in Young Enterprise European projects (EJE) and Entrepreneurship in My School (EME), both part of the Region of Murcia Emprendemos Plan, the Community has launched to promote entrepreneurship among the student population of the Region.

The participating centers are the IES Infanta Elena and Prince Felipe CEIP.

In each two cooperatives have been established, one in each participating class, in which students are marketing the products they buy, or they make themselves.

Each cooperative is constituted by the partners and members of each class, which initially disbursed capital.

In addition, each cooperative has its Governing Council and various departments to efficiently manage the business activity.

Presidents / as, cooperatives are elected / as by peers / as within profiles of responsibility, organization and different management skills.

Also, before deciding which product to be marketed or produced, should study the costs of manufacture, market and price to make a profit.

These business projects began to take shape with the start of the school year and culminate this spring, with the conclusion of a regional market in which each constituted cooperatives, will market its products and where the four cooperatives of the town will be present.

Mini-Market HUB-EME Murcia

Mini-Market HUB-EME Region of Murcia, which will take place on June 3 in the Avenida de la Libertad, of Murcia, is one of the activities included in the European Youth Projects Company-AXIS-directed to students Embark on Secondary Education and the students of my 5th run-EME-School and Primary Education 6th.

In the mini-Market corresponding 51 stands distributed to 40 secondary education institutions that will be selling the products purchased in other Spanish and foreign mini-companies with which they have been associated Stands 61 and 46 belonging to the Colleges of Education and Primary who sell the products they have made in their respective centers.

To develop such expertise about 3,000 students have followed all the steps that would be developed in real life, for the creation and management of a company, developing skills and competencies such as teamwork, decision-making, conflict resolution, cooperation, etc..

The mini-market is for students to see completed its proyectoempresarial who have worked on over the course of 9 months.

With the money raised, the mini-companies settled the debts they may have with suppliers, shall return the initial capital invested, and decide the fate of NGOs or social benefits.

This project has the support of the Ministries of Education, Culture and Universities and Industry, Tourism, Enterprise and Innovation, in collaboration with the Institute of Development, under the Plan Emprendemos Murcia in order to develop entrepreneurship in young people through an experience of creation and management of micro-enterprises in the classroom.
