The school Prince Philip has won the first prize bio + local + life on one of their categories (07/06/2010)

The Prince Felipe de Jumilla school has won the First Prize + BIO + LIFE Category 5 and 6 primary and 1 and 2 of secondary education.

This competition was launched to contribute to training and awareness of biodiversity conservation, the Network of Local Governments Biodiversity 2010 (Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces).

As for awards, the location was the visit to one of the natural spaces that are offered from the City of Jumilla.

The visit was agreed with the teachers and took place on June 4, visiting the Central Solar Photovoltaic Renewable Clerk (Ctra Hellín), Charcas Bitter and Las Minas de La Celia, accompanied by the attached Local Development Agent Technical Service Environment.

The diploma was presented at the ceremony on Thursday 3 June at the CAM.

In this contest were invited to participate in all schools in the town of Jumilla, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Department of Secondary Education, Vocational Training Centers with Intermediate and Advanced, and Centers for Adult Education.

It established three categories: one with students in grades 5 and 6 of primary school and 1 and 2 of High School, second: 3 and 4 of compulsory secondary education, high schools and vocational training of Intermediate and Superior and the third centers adult education.

The centers involved with two works: On the one hand with a design and implementation of an information campaign, awareness and environmental education aimed at residents of the municipality of Jumilla biodiversity, its implementation must be demonstrated in a written report and / or audiovisual free format and length.

And with the design and development of a journal on biodiversity, which must include at least news, local views and comics (the magazine is to be submitted printed on recycled paper).

In addition to the above, another grand prize was established, which has not yet been released and consistently stay on board and paid a week in one of the natural areas that are supplied from the network and inventoried materials not worth 1500 euros for the organization I belong to the winning team.

There is also a consolation prize to be delivered in the board and educational materials valued at 1500 euros for the school.

The jury was composed of local Cutillas Jesus Sanchez, Deputy Mayor and Councillor for the Environment, Fuensanta Olivares García, Councillor of Education, Cristina Gómez Molina, Local Development Agent Environment and Romy Navarro Minguez, president of the Federation of AMPAS Jumilla.

For its part, the jury of the final phase consists of the president of the Network of Local Governments 2010 Biodiversity, vice 1 and 2 of the Network of Local Governments Biodiversity 2010, a representative of the Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine and two experts from the Directorate of Territorial Action FEMP.
