The City Council develops eight educational centers with different repairs (26/07/2018)

The City of Jumilla is held this summer different maintenance works in eight schools with the aim of being ready before the start of the new school year.

At the San Francisco School the teachers' room, the assembly hall, the toilets, the assemblies and the exterior rails of the Infant Education building are being repainted.

Likewise, eight new doors and two blinds have been installed.

It has placed two new sources, a marquee at the main entrance and a step has been eliminated in the playground.

In the Miguel Hernández School, the painting of the common areas of Building 2 is planned, the installation of seven new doors and two blinds, different arrangements in the exterior fence and 50 m2 of asphalting.

Likewise, a shadow will be installed between the indoor track and the Primary classes, as approved in full.

Most of the works that are planned to be carried out at the Mariano Suárez School are painting, specifically in the basement, teacher's room, two offices, the stairwell, in addition to the replacement of three doors .

At the Carmen Conde School the exterior stairs are being repaired, three classrooms are going to be painted, the library and the toilet on the ground floor.

It is also planned to replace 20 blinds.

In the Nuestra Señora de la Asunción School, the common areas of the ground, first and second floors will be painted.

In addition, seven doors will be changed and the stage stage will be repaired.

In the Prince Felipe School the assemblies of the Infantile building are going to be painted and the exterior plinth of the façade will be repaired.

Finally, the repair of the propane boiler of the Adult Education School and the replacement of tiles in the hallway of the El Carche Children's School are planned.

Likewise, in all the centers a general review of both the plumbing installations and the roofs is planned, in order to avoid any possible leakage.

The Councilor for Educational Centers, Pilar Martinez, and the Councilor for Works and Urban Planning, Francisco González, visited today the Colegio Nuestra Señora de la Asunción.

The mayor of Education has noted that "as in all holiday periods is to respond to the needs that we transmitted the directors of schools in the meetings we had before the end of the course."

These works are linked to maintenance actions that the City Council carries out throughout the school period.

The repairs are being carried out by municipal employees, as well as through several contracted companies, all of them based in Jumilla.

"We are waiting for the Ministry of Education to assume the investments that correspond to the different centers," added the councilor of the area.
