The associations with social aims will receive more than 40,000 euros in subsidies (23/10/2018)

A second call now opens to grant the remaining 19,500 euros to complete the game |

The Governing Board has provisionally approved 40,494.51 euros in subsidies for non-profit associations with social and socio-health purposes, once the entire process has been completed in a competitive competition.

A total of 11 groups can give economic coverage to their different projects.

A Line A had been established for those associations whose purpose is to contribute to projects aimed at promoting and revitalizing the association, with the associated persons benefiting.

In this modality, rural women's associations will receive more than 7,500 euros to be distributed among La Alqueria (997.50), Fuente del Pino (2,000), Cañada del Trigo (1,311), Water and Land with the project (1,786). and Las Encebras (1,448.61), covering 95% of the cost of each proposal.

Line B, to which 32,950.40 euros have been granted, is for those in which the association acts as an assistant and collaborator of public administrations, whose purpose is to contribute in projects aimed at achieving the improvement of the quality of life of certain groups with socio-sanitary problems.

The Association of Relatives with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias (AFAD) has been granted 5,683.18 euros, AJITM will receive 6,000 euros, ARJU will approve 5,415 euros, the 3rd Age Club of the 4th District will have 5,510 euros , the Jumillana Association of Fibromyalgia will have a grant of 5,557.50 euros and the Adahi Association will be awarded 4,785.72 euros.

With these amounts they will be able to cover 95% of the proposed programs.

The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, has reported that: "The game provided in the Budget 2018 for this type of subsidy was 60,000 euros, so it now opens a second call in which associations can choose the 19,500 remaining euros, again by competitive bidding process ".

Another 63,500 euros in direct grants

In addition to these 11 associations, the City Council also grants nominative grants to five other associations.

These are Caritas, Red Cross, Aspajunide, Amfiju and AECC, which this year receive a total of 63,500 euros.
