The National Exhibition of Fine Arts and Crafts Prisoners will be exhibited in the Catalan prison of Puig de las Basas (06/02/2019)

The Cultural Association Jumillana (Barcelona - Poble sec) has delivered to the command of the Catalan penitentiary, the 2018 edition of the National Exhibition Prisoners of Fine Arts and Crafts that was presented by the Templar Association of Jumilla (Murcia), creator and organizer of the event, last September in the Murcia II penitentiary (Campos del Río) on the occasion of the commemorative acts in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mercy, patron saint of captives, former captives and prison officers, increasing the performances cultural events that occur annually between both Jumillano associations with the Catalan penitentiary institution.

The authors of the works are prisoners who participate in the Fénix Project, created as formative therapy in 2006 by the Templar Association of Jumilla (Murcia), in which inmates attend more than twenty prison centers in Spain, and is framed in the commemorative acts of the XIV Cultural Crusade of the Templar Bailiwick of Jumilla, an annual compendium of cultural, religious and recreational activities that, since 2006, focuses on penitentiary establishments in Spanish territory.

The sample, which does not have any help or public subsidy, depending on the micro-patronage and the contribution of the partners, will be exposed during the months of February and March to later travel to the Penitentiary Center of Ponent (Lérida) and the Penitentiary Psychiatric Hospital of Seville pending of conformation.
