The Building of Urbanism, inaugurated as extension of the City of Jumilla in 2005, last night received a special mention to the accessibility in the eighth edition of the Building Quality Awards of the Region of Murcia.
The Councilor for Works and Urban Planning, Francisco González, was in charge of collecting the award on behalf of the City Council, the owner of the building, the architects, Salvador and María Pura Moreno, the technical architect, Juan Simón, as well as the promoter Los Romerales and construction company Euloman, in an act held at the Auditorium of Murcia.
It was delivered by the president of the CERMI Region of Murcia, Pedro Martínez.
The awards are granted biannually by the regional government, the colleges of Surveyors, Technical Architects and Building Engineers of the Region, the Regional Federation of Construction Entrepreneurs and the Cajamurcia Foundation for buildings or rehabilitations whose construction is 15 or more years old.
The Jumilla Urbanism Building has already received the Award for Municipal Urban Management in 2008. A catalog will also be published with the winning projects that can be consulted on the website of the awards.
