The Councilor for Culture in office, Pilar Martinez, and the director of the event and IES professor Arzobispo Lozano, Bartolomé Medina, presented this morning the 18th edition of the National Short Film Competition Arzobispo Lozano, the oldest in Spain at school level.
For three years, is co-organizing between the Department of Culture of the City of Jumilla and IES Arzobispo Lozano, through the Department of Plastic Arts, with the intervention of the circuit CortoEspaña.
This is an event that aims to combine three objectives: to encourage creativity and the correct use of audiovisual narrative media among Secondary students, to disclose new talents or emerging artists and, finally, to offer a brief sampling of productions of the national short film circuit.
This year will have sessions next Wednesday 19 and Friday June 21:
June 19, Teatro Vico, 7.30pm.
Present: Carlos Abellán and Alonso Herrero.
-Creography of the Dance Group of the IES Archbishop Lozano
-Projection of a short audiovisual presentation with some of the best photographs of the invited artists of this year: José Luis Miñano and Juan Ignacio Tomás.
-Projection of selected short films of the national circuit by CortoEspaña, this year with the topic Violence of Gender.
- Short film from the Guest Center, IES Justo Millán de Hellín (Albacete).
-Actuation of the jumillano vocalist, Manu Setsune,
-Projection of a selection of short films, spots and trailers from IES Arzobispo Lozano.

-Recital by Andrés Palao, piano and vocalists Carmen Crespo and Marta Gómez.
-Awards.
-Inauguration of the II Exhibition of Artistic Baccalaureate and Plastic Arts.
-Fallo I Illustrated Story Contest "Mari Carmen Alonso".
