Fourteen associations for social purposes will receive more than 56,000 euros to launch various work projects (24/09/2019)

The Governing Board held yesterday approved 56,566.78 euros in grants for non-profit associations for social and socio-health purposes, once the entire process has been completed in a competitive competition regime.

A total of 14 groups may start their work projects.

A Line A had been established for those associations whose purpose is to contribute to projects aimed at the promotion and revitalization of the applicant association, with the associated persons benefiting.

In this modality, 10,288.31 euros have been granted to be distributed among women's associations in La Alquería (1,994.43) with the project 'Activating La Alquería', Fuente del Pino (1,847.75) for 'Singing and Counting', Cañada del Trigo (855) for its functional stimulation workshop, Water and Earth (1,900) with the project 'Embroidery Techniques', and Las Encebras (1,886.70) for the project 'Ecology and Oral Tradition'.

Along the same lines, the Association for the Struggle for Equality (ALI) will have 1,973.53 euros for the organization of the week against gender violence, as well as campaigns for protest activities.

Line B, to which 46,278.47 euros have been granted, is for those proposals in which the association acts as an auxiliary and collaborator of public administrations, whose purpose is to contribute to projects aimed at improving the quality of life. of certain groups with socio-health problems.

The Association of Sick Relatives of Alzheimer's and other dementias (AFAD) has been granted 6,000 euros for the program 'Activate your mind', while ARJU is approved 5,700 euros to work on the rehabilitation of addictions.

The project 'Bring the years to life' of the Club of the 3rd Age of the 4th District will have 6,000 euros, the same amount as the Jumillana Fibromyalgia Association for its project 'Beginning to live'.

Likewise, they will receive 6,000 euros each, the ADIX Jumilla associations for the project 'Learning available to all IV' and ACESMUN to launch 'Meet, create, know and experience.

ADAHI may have 5,400 euros for the project of learning and development of social skills and emotional intelligence for children with TDH.

Finally, ASAMJU is granted 5,178.31 euros for the psychosocial care program.

The Councilor for Social Policy, José Luis Monreal, said that "this year it is planned to grant a total of 265,000 euros for social assistance, of which 110,000 are for charitable and welfare care, 20,000 for extreme emergency aid, which they add to those granted for different groups for social purposes. Caritas, Red Cross, Aspajunide, Amfiju and AECC are subsidized directly with a total of 71,500 euros. "

The total amount has increased compared to 2018.
