The Government Board held yesterday approved the report for the creation of a new playground for children on the Lorenzo Guardiola Promenade, between the Red Cross and Civil Protection buildings, as well as the conditioning of the flowerbed where the games of the Plaza del Plaza were located King Don Pedro, retired as a precaution, when placed under a centenary pine tree of great importance.
The new children's area will feature animal-themed games, children's bins, rubber floors, drawings of traditional games, as well as a fence and poster.
The Councilor for Urban Planning and Gardens, Francisco González, has detailed the different games that will be installed: an elephant structure, a lion dock, an elephant dock and a bear bin.
The old playground of the Plaza del Rey Don Pedro will be converted into a garden area with their respective curbs, tiles similar to those in the rest of the garden, connection to irrigation and planting of hedge and vegetation accordingly.
The budget for both actions is 46,085.29 euros.
