The Governing Board approved the contracting of the project to install an adapted elevator at the Popular University.
This is one of the proposals approved in the Participatory Budgeting process 2019 with the aim of eliminating architectural barriers.
The project will be carried out by the Jumillano architect Juan Antonio Guardiola for 3,267 euros.
"The Popular University is a building where many workshops are held throughout the year, which are attended by a large number of people of all ages. It is distributed over three floors, connected by a staircase, which is a major problem for people with mobility problems, so this elevator will solve this difficulty and turn it into an accessible building, "said the mayor, Juana Guardiola.
