The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, and the councilors of Works, Market and Citizen Participation, Francisco González, Juan Gil and Belén López, have presented today the renovation works of the sign of the outer courtyard of the Central Market of Supplies, which can already be used .
A new cobblestone has been installed through articulated blocks.
The works have had a cost of 136,674.47 euros and have been carried out by the winning company, Ayllonza S. L, through the report made by the municipal technical architect Carlos Chico.
Prior to the paving, the current pavement was demolished, covering an area of ​​2,170 square meters.
In addition, the wastewater registration wells have been repaired and an imbornal has been constructed for rainwater collection.
The new paving has been done through prefabricated concrete pavers placed to bone on concrete and gravel, prepared for heavy vehicles.
Rosemary has been planted in all the planters that surround the courtyard, through the INAM company.
In addition, the municipal services have plastered the access ramps to the upper floor and the painters of Youth Guarantee have repainted the facade of the patio, pillars and railing.
After the reform, the number of parking spaces goes from 64 to 81. For the parking spaces and the area for placing places on market days, cobblestones with red tones have been used, while the passage areas have been made in gray tones.
The crosswalk that crosses the entrance and exit zone has also been set up with cobblestones.
Market kiosks will occupy their usual place from Tuesday, December 17.

The work is not yet complete, since it remains to pave the entrance area to the Mercado de Abastos by Avenida de Levante, in front of the main facade, although in this case the area is much smaller, specifically 110 square meters.
The works are underway since Monday and will be carried out following the same system and with the same set of colors.
