Approved three of the five motions submitted to the February plenary session (25/02/2020)

The construction of a new Barracks House and co-financing for a Comprehensive Security and Emergency Center will be requested;

Pictograms will be incorporated for people with ASD in pedestrian crossings near schools.

In addition, the withdrawal of the start-up instructions by the Ministry of Education will be requested and the integral and civic training promoted by the centers of the municipality will be promoted.

Last night, three of the five motions submitted to the February plenary session were approved, two of them unanimously.

Jumilla City Council will request the Ministry of Interior to provide in the State Budget 2020 the construction of a new Barracks House in Jumilla.

It was approved unanimously at the proposal of the PP.

Likewise, it was unanimously approved through an amendment to add the PSOE and a modification to the PP, which will also urge the CARM to sign a collaboration agreement with the City Council to co-finance the Integral Center of Security and Emergencies, as it has been doing with the rest of buildings of this type built in the different municipalities of the Region of Murcia.

There was unanimity, in addition, to agree, at the proposal of the mixed group, the incorporation of pictograms specially designed for people with ASD in the pedestrian crossings near the educational centers of Jumilla, the first one on the occasion of World Autism Day, which It is commemorated on April 2.

The PP presented an amendment to the amendment, approved unanimously, by which CARM and the Government of Spain will be asked to implement pictograms in public buildings under their jurisdiction.

At the proposal of the PSOE, the green light was given to the City Council to urge the Government of CARM to withdraw the instructions of May 3, 2018 on carrying out activities in the educational centers and modify the resolutions of August 29, 2019 in which of Education dictates instructions for the beginning of the course in the educational centers regarding the activities programmed by the centers.

Likewise, respect for the current constitutional legislation will be requested so that the complementary activities in the centers are taught normally.

The PP group voted against and the mixed group abstained.

The motion of the mixed group that requested the completion of all the necessary procedures to contract an archaeological excavation in the area of ​​the Roman baths and the town of Hypnos was rejected.

It counted on the votes against the PSOE and in favor of the PP and the proposing group.

The motion presented by the PP group was also rejected to initiate the formalities for the formalization of an agreement with the Society of Hunters La Asunción.

It had the opposite votes of the PSOE and the support of PP and mixed group.

On the other hand, the amendment of the Statutes of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Consortium of the Autonomous Community was approved unanimously.

In urgent matters, the plenary approved the adhesion to the institutional declaration of the Regional Assembly of Murcia to support farmers and ranchers, as well as that of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces on the occasion of International Women's Day, which commemorates March 8.

Finally, in the control section, the Mayor's resolutions, the delegated councilors and judicial resolutions, as well as the report of the average payment period to suppliers of the fourth quarter of 2019, the delinquency report and the report of execution of the Budget of this same period.
