The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia and the Local Police of Jumilla have developed an investigation to clarify a series of robberies with force in vehicles committed in Jumilla, which has resulted in the identification, location and detention of a young man, as alleged author Of crime of robbery with force.

The proceedings began at the end of last year, when the Civil Guard detected a notable increase in criminal acts against the heritage, specifically robberies inside vehicles that were parked in the urban area of ​​Jumilla, facts that had originated social alarm among the population.

Effective Prevention of Citizen Security of the Benemérita opened the corresponding operation to investigate criminal acts that increased by days.

So an investigation began to clarify them and stop their author.

The first investigations carried out allowed to verify that the robberies were committed in different streets of the periphery of the town, followed the same pattern or 'modus operandi' and the type of objects stolen used to coincide with their low value and easy subsequent commercialization, as tools, audio equipment, mobile phones, sunglasses or wallets that could contain cash.

Defining the 'modus operandi' has been decisive for researchers to finish clarifying the facts.

During the last weeks, the Civil Guard has jointly developed with the Local Police of Jumilla a large number of operational surveillance devices in order to prevent the commission of more robberies and, where appropriate, frustrate them and detain their perpetrator.

One of these devices paid off and caused a young man who was allegedly to be located in fraganti, allegedly, after the authorship of a large number of criminal acts, resulting in the end arrested as the alleged perpetrator of the crime of robbery with force.

The investigation shows that he now arrested has allegedly committed more than twenty robberies with force inside vehicles in Jumilla.

The frequency in the commission of the facts described has also drawn the attention of the investigators, arriving at the conclusion that the investigated one carried out his alleged criminal activity indiscriminately and coinciding a single victim up to three different occasions in the same month.

As he was subtracting objects he was marketing them at a price much lower than the sale to the public, apparently in the illicit market.

During the arrest, the arrested person was seized tools used to commit robberies and various objects were recovered before they were sold.

The Moroccan detainee, 28, resident in Jumilla and with a history of similar crimes, together with the proceedings, has been made available to the Court of Instruction of Jumilla (Murcia).
