Last night, the 2020 Municipal Budget was initially approved in extraordinary plenary session, which had the positive vote of the PSOE group and the opposite vote of PP and mixed group.
43 amendments were submitted, 25 of them by the PP, 17 by the mixed group and 1 by the PSOE.
The one presented by the PSOE was approved, which will mean the update of the CIF of the Baseball School, with the abstention of PP and Mixed group.
The rest were rejected with the negative votes of the PSOE and the support of both the PP and the Mixed group, which abstained in number 17 presented by the PP, which requested the modification of the remuneration of the members of the corporation.
It was also agreed to expand the staff of the City Council in five workers: an educator, an assistant communication technician, a masonry brigade officer and two laborers.
The PSOE voted in favor, the Mixed group abstained and the PP opposed.
The 2020 Budgets, for the second consecutive year, will not have a chapter of financial liabilities, since all of the debt has been canceled at the end of last 2018. It has a total amount of 20,078,144.67 euros, 438,521 euros lower than last year .
The transfer chapter assumes a total of 1,421,702 euros, a similar amount compared to 2019. Of that amount, 784,000 euros are destined to nominative subsidies and competitive competition to associations and groups, as well as social assistance.
Increase with respect to the previous budget those destined for Holy Week or the Amfiju association, among others, and a 25,000 euros aid for the restoration of the historical organ of the Greater Church of Santiago is incorporated.
In investments, an expense of 1,087,590 euros is planned, divided into different items, among which those that will allow carrying out the different proposals approved through the Participatory Budgets, as well as continuing to invest in districts, the renewal of machines sweepers for which they will allocate 140,000 euros, 17,000 euros for a vehicle adapted for the Canine Unit of the Local Police or 38,500 euros to invest in the Iberian site of Coimbra and complete the subsidy granted by the CARM.
One more year the items destined for improvements in accessibility, streets, squares and gardens, tree plantation and reforestation of green areas, improvement of sports facilities, Market and Bus Station, administrative modernization or maintenance of educational centers, are maintained or expanded. others.
In the expenses section, the Personnel item also increases by 2%, including the increase in salaries of 2%.
