A greenhouse and a drying room for marijuana plants have been dismantled in the residence of the arrested;
and two kilos of marijuana, 100 grams of hashish, a sieve, useful for the cultivation and distribution of the drug and 2,000 euros in cash have been seized
The 'joint', established as a supposed pro-cannabis association, was frequented by young people from the area
The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia and the Jumilla Local Police have carried out a joint investigation that has culminated in the arrest of a person as the alleged perpetrator of the crime of cultivation, processing and drug trafficking.
The arrested man was at the head of a supposed pro-cannabis association frequented by young consumers, in whose premises, presumably, the sale of drugs was carried out at retail.
A room equipped with the necessary means for the indoor cultivation and drying of marijuana plants has been located in the residence of the arrested, as well as about two kilos of cannabis sativa, 100 grams of hashish, a sieve, useful for the cultivation and distribution of the drug;
and 2,000 euros in cash.
The investigation began at the end of last year, when the Jumilla Local Police alerted the massive influx of potential drug users to a local, located in the urban area of Jumilla.
Some of these young people were denounced for possession of toxic substances.
Since then, both police forces have joined forces to carry out a joint investigation aimed at obtaining the necessary evidence that would make it possible to find out if it was a retail drug point of sale, as well as to identify and arrest those responsible.
The various police devices established in the area paid off, which was brought to the attention of the judicial authority, which ordered separate entry and search warrants, both at the home of the main suspect, and at the premises he ran.
Recently, in a first phase of the investigation, a large police device, made up of agents from the Benemérita and the Jumilla Local Police, carried out the searches.
At the suspect's home, officers dismantled an indoor greenhouse, allegedly intended for growing and drying cannabis sativa plants.
This enclosure had been equipped with an elaborate autonomous electric heating, ventilation and temperature regulation system, appropriate to accelerate the growth cycle of vegetables.
Other elements used for cultivation and treatment such as fertilizers, fertilizers and chemical aid for their growth were found in the same house.
The registration culminated in the seizure of about two kilos of marijuana, 100 grams of hashish, 2,000 euros in cash, as well as accounting entries.
Among the seized effects, the agents located a sieving machine, supposedly used to process the marijuana buds, by means of centrifugation techniques, until turning it into hashish.
In a second phase of the investigation, the investigators considered as eradicated the alleged criminal activity that had been taking place in a place in Jumilla, run by the suspect as a pro-cannabis association, where it is presumed that narcotic drugs were trafficked and consumed .
He cultivated marijuana at home and distributed it locally
According to the investigation, the now detainee kept cultivation of cannabis sativa plants at his home, for which he had an indoor greenhouse equipped with the necessary tools to promote their growth.
The harvested plants were transferred to a drying room, where they were manipulated until they were converted into doses.
Presumably, ready-to-use marijuana was distributed among members of an alleged pro-cannabis association, which the arrested man had illegally established in the municipality of Jumilla.
The investigation, carried out jointly by the Jumilla Local Police and the Civil Guard, has culminated in the arrest of a 31-year-old Spanish man, a resident of Jumilla, as the alleged perpetrator of the crime of cultivation, processing and trafficking of drug.
In the records carried out in two buildings in Jumilla, about two kilos of marijuana, 100 grams of hashish, a sieve, tools for the cultivation and distribution of the drug and 2,000 euros in cash have been seized.
The arrested, the drug, the money and the seized effects, along with the proceedings investigated, have been placed at the disposal of the Investigating Court number 1 of Jumilla (Murcia).
