The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, has offered this afternoon a new press conference to update and report new measures that are being taken in coordination with the Government of Spain and the Region of Murcia and that affect the municipality to prevent expansion of the coronavirus.

In the first place, he referred to the meeting held by videoconference late in the morning by the president of the CARM, López Miras, with all the mayors of the municipalities of the Region.

"It has been made available to all the municipalities and in the same way we have made themselves available to yours. To move forward this situation requires good coordination between the three administrations: national, regional and local," said Juana Guardiola. .

The mayor has indicated that the City Council is not providing data on possible infections "because we do not have them, it is the Ministry and the Ministry of Health that manages them and are offering generic figures by autonomous community."

General measures

Likewise, "measures are being studied that help citizens in this situation and see how to materialize them in all public prices, as well as the suspension of tax payment terms and facilitate installments or deferrals to the maximum legal amount in application of the Royal Government Decree from Spain".

In addition, the respective companies have been informed of the suspension of contracts for services that are not provided during the State of Alarm, such as the CAI, the Popular University, the Children's School, the Tennis School, and assistant informants to visitors in Museums, Castle and Tourism, monitors, lifeguards, etc.
