| This is a mechanism of the Ministry of the Interior that aims to provide comprehensive treatment to the problem of family abuse | The mayor, Juana Guardiola, today signed the adhesion of the Jumilla City Council to the Comprehensive Monitoring System for Cases of Gender Violence (VioGén) of the Ministry of the Interior.
This is an agreement with the Secretary of State for Security for the adaptation of the technical computer mechanisms necessary for the incorporation of the members of the Local Police who act in matters of gender violence. Its purpose is to provide comprehensive treatment to the problem of family abuse, and specifically focused on violence against women, not only in strictly criminal measures, but also awareness, prevention and detection.
The goals are to protect the victim and deter the aggressor. Likewise, the collaboration and coordination procedure has been signed between the 5th Civil Guard Area of ??Murcia and the Jumilla Local Police Corps for the protection of victims of gender violence.
The objective is to establish the basic criteria of collaboration and coordination that allow optimizing the human and material resources of the existing security forces and bodies in the municipal area of ??Jumilla to guarantee effective compliance with judicial measures to protect victims of violence from gender.
