The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, and the councilor for Citizen Participation, María Belén López, together with representatives of the municipality's neighborhood associations, presented tonight in the plenary hall of the Jumilla City Council the Radio Solidarity Marathon, which It will be held this Saturday at the Fuente del Pino at the initiative of the Jumilla Neighbors Solidarity Network.It will be held from 10 am to 6 pm and it will be possible to follow and participate live: on radio, from the 98.7 FM frequency of Siete Días Jumilla Radio and Online; through the internet, on the sietediasjumilla.es portal; as well as the Facebook pages of @ sietedias.jumilla and @redsolidariadevecinos.
The Radio Solidarity Marathon will be the first activity of the Solidarity Collection Campaign for Basic Food and Hygiene Products launched by the network of neighbors to benefit Cáritas and the Jumilla Red Cross, "to help meet the needs food and hygiene of families who are experiencing great difficulties and hardships as a result of the Covid-19 ", they explained in the presentation.The products can be delivered from that day to different establishments in the municipality and the districts that can be found at redsolidariadevecinos.blogspot.com.Economic donations can also be made in the accounts of Cáritas Jumilla (La Caixa: IBAN ES75 2100 6030 9902 0005 0935) and the Red Cross in Jumilla (Banco Santander: IBAN ES61 0049 5058 2621 1077 3081).
The mayor and the councilor for the area have congratulated the Neighborhood Solidarity Network for the initiative and thanked them for the gesture they have had when giving up their subsidies for this year 2020 taking into account the current situation.For their part, Gustavo López, have made the Siete Días Radio signal available to the rest of the media so that they can retransmit the marathon in order for it to be as successful as possible.
