The City Council presents thirty activities for the months of July and August (08/07/2020)

| All will be free and adapted to the security measures of the moment, respecting the capacity of each space | The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, along with the councilors for Culture, Celebrations, Youth and Tourism, Pilar Martínez, José Antonio Jiménez, Lola Gómez and María Quílez, presented this morning in the plenary hall the scheduled summer activities, " all free and adapted to the security measures of the moment, respecting the capacity of each space ", they have pointed out. There will be cinema, theater, concerts and different children's and youth activities.

In total, about thirty that have been programmed with the participation of different groups in the municipality. From Culture, various performances have been prepared on Paseo Lorenzo Guardiola, which will begin on July 26 at 8:30 pm with "A reír, que ya toca" by the Teresa Casellas Group.

On July 31 at 9:30 pm there will be a children's musical entitled 'Striped Swimsuits ".

For August 1, a classical theater session has been prepared through the Hypnos Cultural Association.

Starting in the middle of the month and within On the days of the Fair, different performances will be held by the music groups Jumillana Association of Friends of Music (AJAM), Julián Santos Music Association, Choral Jumillana Canticorum, Cornet and Drum Band Our Lady of Lamentations, as well as the Rociero Sha Choir Sha let's go! There will also be musical performances on August 15 and 23, also on Paseo Lorenzo Guardiola, with separate tributes to Camilo Sesto and El Último de la Fila + Manolo García, requested from ICA's Noches al Raso program. From the Department of Youth, several film sessions have been scheduled on Paseo Lorenzo Guardiola starting at 9:30 p.m.

This is the screening of 'Spider-man: Far from home' (July 17), 'The secret life of bees' (July 18, with the collaboration of Cineclub Seventh Basement), 'How to train your dragon 3' ( July 24), 'The best summer of my life' (July 25) and 'Father there is only one' (August 8).

Before each film session, short films from the IES Arzobispo Lozano National Short Film Contest will be screened.

The children's performance 'Fuego Chimenero & Stream Brasa Band' has been scheduled for August 9 and for the 17 'Patio deighbors', aimed at families.

On August 22 (10:30 p.m.) the 'Alex and Friends' concert will be heldwith the participation of different local groups. From the Department of Tourism, videos have been prepared with images of the Jumilla Fair and Festivals from previous years that will be projected before the performances.

In coordination with the Wine Route, the second edition of 'Cheese and Wine Harmony' will be held, this time from the Plaza de Santa María on August 1. Likewise, the festive collectives Federation of Peñas Harvest Festival, National Folklore Festival, Brotherhood of the Virgin Our Lady of the Assumption and Association of Moors and Christians Don Pedro I have participated in the programming, which will present on August 7 various activities adapted to the current situation to celebrate during the holiday week.

The presentation will take place at 10 pm on Paseo Lorenzo Guardiola, with a concert by Los Yulis, although they appear in the summer program that will be published in the coming days.
