Extraordinary plenary session held on measures to revitalize the Old Town (21/08/2020)

| The PP proposal was rejected "as the PEPCHA was still in the bidding phase," as indicated by the Government group | Yesterday an extraordinary plenary session was held at the request of the municipal group of the Popular Party in which a proposal on measures to revitalize the Old Town of Jumilla was debated.

It was rejected with the contrary votes of the PSOE and the abstention of the Mixed Group, "as the PEPCHA (Special Plan for the Protection of the Historic-Artistic Complex) is still in the bidding phase, whose deadline for submitting offers ends next Tuesday, August 25" , as indicated by the Government group. There is currently a committee of experts appointed to assess the best proposal and award it.

Once the company in charge of making the analysis and proposing the best reactivation that can be carried out, different commissions will be created to hold the meetings that are necessary with neighbors, businessmen, merchants and associations to assess the actions to be undertaken . From that moment, it is when ideas and projects that aim to improve and revitalize the Historic-Artistic Complex of Jumilla can be contributed.

Next, a period of allegations and exposure to the public will be opened prior to the proposal being raised to the Plenary.
