City and Wine Route Jumilla represent in the assembly of ACEVIN in Toro (07/06/2016)

Last weekend was held in Toro (Zamora) annual assembly of ACEVIN (Spanish Association of Wine Cities), where Jumilla was represented through its Town Hall and the Wine Route.

The mayor, Juan Guardiola, Councillor for Agriculture, Juan Gil, president of the Wine Route Jumilla, Sebastian Garcia, and the municipal technician, Angel Perez.

In addition to the ordinary aspects of the assembly, where we have analyzed the action plans developed during the previous year and projects for the next bull highlights the approval and certification of a new wine route that becomes part of the club Routes Wine of Spain, driven and chaired by ACEVIN.

This is the Wine Route of Calatayud, in the Aragon.

With it, there are now 26 routes and 88 partners who are part of ACEVIN.

At the same time, reports of the working group that was created to boost the Ministry implement a vocational training cycle based on wine and gastronomy.

For now they are integrated municipalities of Medina del Campo, Villafranca del Penedes and the Institute of Tourism of the Region of Murcia.

As indicated by the mayor, the issue "is in line with the request that has been made since the City of Jumilla for the Ministry of Education put in place in Jumilla branch vocational cooking and gastronomy. We think we are a place ideal for this type of training by the idiosyncrasies of our land, closely related to wine tourism and gastronomy ".

In this assembly of ACEVIN it has been keen to stress the perception of the association and Wine Routes of Spain by the institutions as a reliable project organization and a solid, serious and well structured.

The work developed has enabled the renewal of the cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Tourism Development Product Club Wine Routes of Spain, in addition to implementing the Plan International Promotion of Wine Routes of Spain for 2016 through the Tourism Institute of Spain (TURESPAĂ‘A).

This collaboration involves the development of international promotion in collaboration with the Network of Spanish Tourist Offices abroad and the SEGITTUR State Society.
