Signed collaboration agreement between City Hall and the Stipa Association (18/10/2016)

Jumilla City Council, through its mayor, Juana Guardiola, signed in the afternoon yesterday the agreement for the grant of the subsidy provided by name in the Municipal Budget 2016 with the Naturalist Association Stipa which was represented by its president, Gines Toral Pérez .

In the event he was also present Councilman Montes, Juan Gil.

The association will receive the sum of 2,000 euros with which the city of Jumilla is working with the association develops activities in the protection and defense of the environment.

Following this agreement, Stipa organized several events to mark the World Environment Day, a workshop such as nesting boxes for insectivorous, a course of fingerprints and traces of fauna as well as the screening of a film.

Similarly, it will enhance the Trace Project, which is to return the forest nature of certain parcels of public forests or raft building a pond for wildlife.

They will involve volunteers from schools, performing ecotourism routes in the area, with points of observation and photography.

Similarly, the agreement includes the completion of the Quarries Project with Life, with which it will monitor nest boxes through micro cameras in order to observe the behavior of birds.

It will also carry out the Census Wildlife Project, which is to carry out a study of mammals using camera traps.
