Tomorrow is discussed in an extraordinary plenary amendment of the ordinances (09/11/2016)

The mayor, Juana Guardiola, and the councilman of the Treasury, Alfonso Pulido, have presented a proposal for the modification of ordinances that will be debated tomorrow Thursday in an extraordinary plenary session that will start at 19.00 hours.

As indicated in the press conference called to give details about the draft, the changes suggested come to complement the improvements made last year, "always with the prudence to take into account that what is entered through the ordinances Depends on the financing of most of the municipal services, "said the mayor.

Alfonso Pulido was in charge of presenting the details of the draft, stressing that "what is intended again is to remove tax burden on citizens, as well as to achieve a fairer and more balanced distribution of the tax burden. Taxes are lowered, which means that the municipal coffers have less income, making it a challenge for this government to maintain all services and even improve them, as is the case of the garbage that will be left for 2017 with a semester rate per housing of 26 , 19 euros ".

Likewise, it is intended to modify the garbage rates for catering, food and local establishments with activity in terms of number of meters, as "they are currently out of phase and it was a matter to regularize them," says Pulido.

For example, a hotel establishment of 60 m2 will pay from 178 to 126 euros, while a local with activity of 140 m2 will go from 124.53 to 84 euros.

Therefore, prices per meter are established progressively.

Another important change would occur in the IBI, which accounts for almost 25% of the total collection of the municipality.

It is proposed to subsidize large families.

For example, if the value of the house is less than 70,000 euros, 50% of the total fee will be subsidized to the general category and 90% to the special category.

These percentages would be 30% and 70% respectively if the value oscillates between 70,000 and 100,000 euros and 20% and 50% for larger housing.

About 10% of the population will benefit from this decline, as it would affect 432 large families of a general nature and 89 special families.

It will generally suppose the reduction of 120,000 euros in taxes directly to citizens.

The bonuses in other rates and public prices for large families, stressed the mayor of Finance, "would be accumulated to the rest that were already incorporated in the previous exercise."

An example may be a student of the Popular University, which could accumulate the 30% bonus of the tuition for having disability and 20% for being a member of large family of special category, something that to date was not possible.
