The January plenary approves two of the three motions presented (31/01/2017)

Two of the three motions presented to the regular plenary in January held last night were unanimously approved.

At the proposal of Izquierda Unida Los Verdes, Jumilla joined the network of cities free of trafficking in women, girls and boys for prostitution.

The agreement involves the realization of awareness campaigns on a regular basis by the City Council, which will also require that the law be enforced, pursuing traffic.

The action will also focus on eradicating demand, assisting women to abandon prostitution, and regulations will be required to prevent the media from profiting by offering sexual services in advertisements.

The proposal of the Socialist Party was unanimously approved by which the Governing Council of the Autonomous Community will be urged to draft a plan for the growth and modernization of the CEIS (Consortium for the Extinction of Fire and Rescue of the Region of Murcia ) Which includes a reduction of up to 20 minutes in response times for all municipalities, a comprehensive training plan for its staff, a maintenance plan for the facilities and modernization of the vehicles.

It was rejected, with the negative votes of PSOE and abstention of IULV, the proposal of the Popular Party that requested to the local Government a regulation of operation of the labor exchanges.

Likewise was determined as more advantageous offer the one presented / displayed by the Society of Hunters the Asunción for the hunting utilization in the mounts of municipal ownership.

There were 19 positive votes and one abstention.

It modifies, in addition, the staff of temporary staff in the PSOE group, with the abstention of the PP, increasing the day to a full-time worker after the resignation of one of the half-day.

At the January plenary session, the Mayor's resolutions, the delegated councilors, judicial decisions, and the Intervention reports on the average period of payment to suppliers, on delinquency corresponding to the last quarter of 2016 And of the brief presented by IU-LV on modification of representatives in information commissions.

At the end of the plenary session, a citizen intervened in representation of a group that did not agree with the bases of labor exchanges launched by the City of Jumilla.
