Approved the motion of IU-Greens to declare Jumilla free of trafficking in women and girls (01/02/2017)

The United Left-Greens Municipal Group begins its assessment of the ordinary plenary session in January with the motion that will allow Jumilla to join the network of cities free of trafficking in women, children and girls destined for prostitution.

After the approval of the same unanimously, they explain that the motion presented by IU-Verdes seeks to sensitize the citizens and make visible the great problem of abuse of women.

They say that in the 21st century, this issue must be treated openly, avoiding that it becomes a taboo subject that is not spoken of and therefore, do not try to avoid it with all possible means.

Thanks to the approval of this motion also incorporate measures of prosecution and penalization of the pimp, as well as aid to women who abandon prostitution.

With respect to the Popular Party's motion on the regulation of the operation of labor exchanges, they indicate that the text of the motion is not specific and does not provide specific solutions, and therefore IU-Greens abstained on this point.

They believe that the announcement made by the Councilman Alfonso Pulido, does not correspond to reality, leading to confusion and creating false expectations, since the job market is only used for casualties and vacancies, and in neither case is For fixed spaces.

They show their support to the firefighters of the Region of Murcia because of the precarious situation that this group suffers due to the non-compliance of the Consortium of Firemen in the Autonomous Community.

They state that firefighters have insufficient seats, due to the fact that the retirement replacement quota is not being fulfilled, nor are new places being offered.

IU-Verdes shows its total willingness to help solve this situation that they suffer as victims of budget cuts and staffing by the Popular Party Government in the Region of Murcia.

Finally, in the turn of prayers and questions, they influenced the importance of awareness against the abandonment of animals, since in recent weeks cases, especially puppies, have been increased.

Among other requests, they also called for the immediate development of the bases that allow the use of international cooperation and aid, since 10,000 euros have been wasted.

The fulfillment of the tree replenishment as indicated by the ordinance and the search for solutions so that the application for the large family bonus in IBI assistance can be enjoyed this year were other requests that IU-Greens transferred to the Team of government.

They also recall their concern and the transfer of complaints from residents about the situation of the CAVI, the cost of moving waste to Ulea, the report on noise from blowers, the patching of Sagasta Street and the use of the culture classroom. The old CAM.
