Ecoembes, the non-profit environmental organization that promotes sustainability through the recycling of packaging in Spain, and Consumur, the Association of Consumers and Consumers in Murcia, in collaboration with the City of Jumilla, will deliver this Friday 17 at 20.00, a Informative talk on 'Responsible Consumption', addressed to the groups of elderly people, women and neighbors in general.
The venue will be the headquarters of the Association of Neighbors La Esperanza, located in the Plaza de San Juan, with free admission.
After the talk, there will be a draw of a ham among the attendees.
Ecoembes and Consumur signed an agreement last year to promote the care of the environment through responsible consumption.
Through the same, from October to February, sessions of one and a half hours are being held in 23 municipalities of the Region of Murcia.
These talks provide information on the correct separation at the origin of the residues and the quantities recovered by Ecoembes.
It also shows the benefits of recycling and ecodesign, through which it seminimizes the environmental impact of packaging and therefore its carbon footprint.
Finally, the process of packaging recycling, from the collection to the transformation into raw material, is also shown, also seeing the operation of the selection plants, and how the recycled materials are used to make new products.
