The mayor and the director of the SEF visit the different employment programs of the municipality (30/05/2017)

The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, and SEF's general director, Alejandro Zamora, visited this morning the different programs and workshops that are being developed at the moment in the municipality.

In the first place they have greeted some of the six beneficiaries of Youth Guarantee who are working in the City Hall itself.

Four of these young people work in the maintenance, repair and maintenance of public buildings and schools in the municipality, while the other two work in support and development of computers in the Town Hall.

He then visited the 15 young people between the ages of 16 and 29 who are participating in the 'Dinamiza Jumilla' program, with which they will alternate theoretical training with paid employment for nine months to train in the specialty of ' Free educational time for children and young people '.

Likewise, they have received the first impressions of the participants in the 100x100 Activation Program, a service that aims to increase through the mediation of a personal trainer or coach the probabilities of insertion of job seekers.

In fact, almost half of the 25 participants have already been hired by different companies when the program has not yet been completed.

Finally, they have delivered the certificates of professionalism to ten unemployed who have completed the course of 'Bar and cafeteria services'.

These students have been trained for six months in different types of restaurant service, table preparation, emplatado and cocktail.

The mayor and the director of the SEF, accompanied by the Councilor for Economy and Employment, Juan Gil, have held a meeting prior to the visits.

"We have asked for this collaboration, which is so necessary to help our citizens find employment, because it is bearing fruit. On the part of the City Council we are working hard to provide the Jumillanos with any possibility of training to find employment, Has indicated Juana Guardiola.

"We are open to raising new programs through the European Social Fund," he added.

Zamora assured that: "One of the priorities established in the Strategy for Quality Employment 2017-2020 is to boost employment among the groups that face the greatest difficulties in terms of employment, such as young people, and For it is essential that the regional administration and municipalities work together. "
