Eight bicycles delivered at the closing of the School Road Education Campaign (22/06/2017)

Today, the School Roadway Education Campaign has been completed during the course and in which all Primary School students have participated.

The closing ceremony was held at the Roque Baños Center where eight bicycles have been delivered to the winners of the drawing competition in which 1,120 children from eight schools participated.

The meeting was attended by the Mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, Local Police Councilor, Eugenio Aguado, Traffic Councilor Francisco Vicente Gomez, and the local police chief Antonio Luis Mula, as well as directors And representatives of the schools.

The aim of the Vila Escolar Education Campaign is to enable the little ones to learn in a practical and simple way to move safely in their surroundings, on foot, by bicycle or by car.

The winners of the bicycles were Marc Carrión (3rd from Santa Ana), Salvador Rodríguez (5th from Our Lady of the Assumption School), Lorena Molina (4th from Carmen Conde College), Miriam Bernal (5th College of San Francisco), Estela Canals (5 ° A of Príncipe Felipe College), Irene Guillamón (2nd CC Cruz de Piedra), Elena Muñozx (1st A Miguel Hernández College) and Iker Rojaz (1st A Mariano Suárez College).

Similarly, schools have received a diploma for their participation in the campaign.

Several of the bicycles have been donated by Seguros Generali and by the Santana, Losada and San Juan driving schools.

The mayor of Jumilla said: "I feel comforted and deeply grateful for the work that has been done. It shows that it has been enjoyed."

He congratulated the winners and stressed the importance of "children see the agents as close people and friends."
