Jumilla will be the epicenter of regional and regional agriculture through the Agricultural Fair (23/11/2017)

During this weekend, Jumilla will become the epicenter of regional and regional agriculture, thanks to the celebration of the Agricultural Fair 2017, which will have 35 exhibitors from different areas, among which the presence of all the big brands of machinery and tractors.

They will fill the patio of the market and the adjacent streets, as well as the fish market, where they will also install agrarian unions, marketers, financial services, a temporary work agency and an area dedicated to gastronomy.

There will be tapas, wines from the Regulatory Council, kid from Calemur, cheeses and the mastery of Pablo Martínez, champion of Spain of Cut of Ham.

Part of the proceeds from the stables of food, drink and gastronomy will be donated after the fair to the Local Assembly of the Spanish Red Cross to contribute in this way to their cause.

Tomorrow, at 5:00 pm, the Mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, will be in charge of cutting the inaugural ribbon, after which there will be a visit to all the exhibitors, both in the exterior and interior, which will culminate with the act of tribute and recognition to Francisco Molina Vicedo, pedáneo of The Encebras, and that is one of the great collaborators and promoters of this fair.

One of the novelties of this year is the celebration during the morning of Saturday, from 11, of a technical day on the 'Savings in irrigation: New technical solution to drought', which will be in charge of José Sánchez and Santiago Carretero.

This will be in the main hall of the Food Market.

Also, in the program of activities, highlights the II Skill Contest with Tractor and Trailer, which will be held from 10:30 am on Sunday in the parking of the heated pool.

Up to 25 participants can be registered and two tests have been arranged.

In addition, it is counted for its development with the support of COAG and the sponsorship of Agrobank, which donates the prizes, whose amount amounts to 400 euros for the first position, 200 for the second and 100 euros for the third.

Everyone will receive a commemorative trophy for this edition.

Both the mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, and the councilman of Agriculture, Juan Gil Mira, have invited everyone to visit this fair, "since we have high expectations and the goal of overcoming the attendance figures of last year, which were already high and on this occasion, we have worked to increase at least 20%, which would be a resounding success, "they said.
