The Civil Guard clarifies five robberies in housing Jumilla (02/02/2018)

Two minors have been arrested as alleged perpetrators of robbery with force

They were surprised when they intended to sell part of the stolen effects

They watched the exit of the dwellers to accede to the buildings by means of escalo and to subtract all type of objects easy to transport

The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed an investigation, framed in the "Plan against home theft", which has resulted in the arrest of two young people in Jumilla, the recovery of numerous effects and enlightenment, so far , of five crimes of robbery with force in houses of the municipality.

Agents of prevention of citizen security of the Benemérita initiated the investigation with the purpose of clarifying several robberies in houses of the municipality of Jumilla, facts that had generated some social alarm in the population.

The first investigations allowed to verify that the thefts took place when the inhabitants were outside the domiciles, as well as that, generally, they did it by means of the scaling of walls or facades to accede by balconies or superior windows.

These inquiries allowed to establish a profile of the suspects: young people with certain agility to climb and access through small hollows inside the houses, where they were 'made' with all kinds of objects easy to transport such as jewelry, small appliances, mobile phones and electronic and computer material.

The coincidence in the modus operandi made the Civil Guard suspect an organized group of at least two people, who carried out the criminal tasks in a coordinated manner, to assault the houses while one of them stayed outside the sentry, care of the possible police or neighborhood presence.

Apparently, and as it appears from the investigation, the suspects carried out previous surveillance of the houses with the aim of ascertaining the absence of their residents.

La Benemérita established a series of police devices aimed, on the one hand, at the prevention of robberies in the municipality and, on the other, at locating the suspects through the sale, on the black market, of the stolen objects.

Surprised in flagrante when they transport stolen objects

These researches have focused the investigation on two young people, minors, on whom a series of vigilances have been established that have been positive when the agents have surprised them, in the act while transporting a large part of the stolen objects, which they intended to sell to third parties, for prices below the market.

It is a television, a computer, a video game console, a guitar, a set of speakers and several jewels that, once recovered, have been returned to their rightful owners.

In that act, the Civil Guard has arrested two underage males, of Spanish and Moroccan nationalities, and residents of Jumilla as alleged perpetrators of at least five crimes of burglary in homes in the municipality.

The arrested, the recovered effects and the educated diligences have been put at the disposition of the Office of Minors of Murcia.
