The unemployment figures in Jumilla at the end of January show a decline in the sectors of Agriculture, Industry and Construction, moving the increase to the Services sector.
At a general level, unemployment has increased by 24 people compared to the previous month.
This variation has been due to a decrease in men with 12 fewer unemployed, while unemployment in women has increased by 36 people.
The number of unemployed in Jumilla is 2,261, 150 fewer people in a job search situation than on the same date in 2017.
By economic sectors it is still the service sector that brings together the largest number of unemployed, with a small increase to 49.40% of the total, and is where the bulk of female unemployment is concentrated, followed by agriculture that has fallen since 22.66% to 21.94%.
The industry sector decreases by 1% from 10.59% to 9.46% of the total unemployed, and also drops by almost 1% (from 8.49% to 7.52%). of construction, assuming 11.68% of the unemployed sector without activity.
By age, nationality and academic level, there are practically no changes with respect to the previous month.
The Councilor for Economy and Employment, Juan Gil, said that "the figures in general are improving, but we insist on the precariousness of employment, which we hope will also improve"
