The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed an investigation, framed in the 'Plan against the abductions in agricultural and livestock farms', aimed at identifying the owner of an agricultural vehicle that circulated abnormally and without license plates in the rural area of Jumilla.

The investigation has culminated with the arrest of a person as alleged author of the crime of robbery with force and with the recovery of a tractor stolen in Cieza in 2014.

Citizen collaboration

The investigation began when civil guards of the ROCA teams (Against thefts in the field) were aware of the existence of an agricultural vehicle that, apparently, had been seen circulating abnormally through the rural area of ​​Jumilla on improvised circuits four times over. four.

This first information caused that the agents centered the investigation in agricultural farms of the zone, when supposing that the vehicle could remain guarded in some rural shed to be employed, in addition, in agrarian tasks.

Apparently, it is a common practice in this type of thefts, which consists of letting the vehicles 'cool down' in a warehouse, after their theft, to keep them out of circulation until, after a few years, they are employed in tasks in distant areas of the localities where they were stolen.

These investigations, maintained for a period of five months, have been positive when agents of the Benemérita have located a person who used the tractor on a farm in Jumilla.

The vehicle lacked license plates and the technical identification number.

Recovered four years after his robbery

The Civil Guard, through dealers of vehicles of the sector, has investigated until knowing the complete identification of the vehicle, what has allowed to find out that it had been stolen in 2014 from an agricultural warehouse of Cieza.

The investigation has culminated with the arrest of a person in Jumilla male, Spanish, aged 46 as alleged perpetrator of robbery with force and with the recovery and return to his rightful owner of the tractor stolen in Cieza.

The arrested, recovered vehicle and the proceedings have been made available to the Court of Instruction No. 1 of Jumilla (Murcia).
