The athletics festival visits Jumilla again this Sunday.
The best cross-country runners and specialists in the area will be present at a new edition of the Cross Individual Regional Championship.
From 9:45 am, more than 600 athletes from all over the country and part of Alicante and Albacete will tour the circuit that runs through the La Hoya Sports Center and its surroundings in search of the 32 titles of individual regional cross champions and of the different positions for the championships of Spain of the specialty.
Among all the participants, just over 40 athletes come from Jumilla.
This year will be again the participation and dispute of the regional championships for athletes of the Federation of Sports for People with Intellectual Disability (FEDEMIPS) that will compete two races together with the federated athletes, thus collaborating in the integration of all people in sports and in society.
The Councilor for Sports, Juan Manuel García, has shown his satisfaction for "recounting another year in Jumilla with this test, so we can say that our city is the official site of this event."
The event is organized by the Athletic Club Vinos Jumilla and has the collaboration of the City of Jumilla, the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia, FEDEMIPS, the General Directorate of Sports, Spanish Red Cross, Civil Protection and Local Police.
